Configuring Windows 95 Dial-Up for Scripting
- Right-click on the SWT connection icon in the Dial-Up Networking folder in My Computer. Pick Properties from the menu that appears.
- In the properties window, you should have a Scripting tab in the list of tabs across the top. If you do not, your version of Windows 95 is old and you will need to download and install the Microsoft Winsock update and Dial-up Adapter 1.2. Click the OK button to close the properties window
- Make the connection to SWT manually and download the SWT script or the UT Telesys script. If you had no scripting tab, also download and install the Microsoft Winsock update and Dial-up Adapter 1.2 files.
- Disconnect from the Internet and right-click again on the SWT connection icon. Click the Configure… button in the lower right of the window. Click on the Options tab and uncheck Bring up terminal window after dialing. Click OK.
- Click the Scripting tab and then click the Browse button. Locate the SWT script file that you downloaded and select and open it. Click OK. Click OK again to close the properties window.
- Now to make a connection, double-click on the SWT connection icon and fill in your username and Kerberos password. Check the Save Password box to save your password. Click the Connect button to make a connection.
